Preserve to Inspire: Museum of Youth Culture
Kickstarter Campaign

In August 2019 we launched a Kickstarter campaign for the inaugural exhibition of the Museum of Youth Culture, inviting people to join the team at early Patrons.

With the support of 179 backers, including our supporters Fred Perry, we were able to exceed the funding target.

We're building a Museum of Youth Culture for the UK

A new museum to house your stories of youth. Honestly, authentically, without fuss. A museum you can join today. Help us launch our first inaugural exhibition in 2019.

Since 2015 the Museum of Youth Culture has evolved from a small youth culture photo archive into a fully fledged heritage team of youth culture specialists, working together to reinvent the modern museum for the purpose of preserving, sharing and celebrating youth culture history. The Museum is a response to an increasing public demand for a central go-to hub for the celebration and preservation of British youth culture including music, fashion and social movements.

Launching the world's first online Museum of Youth Culture inaugural exhibition in 2019, we will host a Central London launch party event followed by a week long free exhibition, inviting Londoners and tourists to enter into an immersive pop-up exhibition celebrating the scenes, styles and nightlife of the last 100 years in the UK and we need your support to make this happen.

The Kickstarter Campaign was flagged as on of Kickstarter’s Projects We Love, and was featured in Time Out London, BBC, Crack Magazine and Red Bull Music.
